Walkers Welcome
Walking is an increasingly popular activity while on holiday in the UK and many walkers find it helpful to stay in accommodation which has made a conscious effort to provide facilities and services to meet their specific needs.
This scheme, which was developed with expert advice and support from the Countryside Agency and the Youth Hostel Association, provides walkers with the confidence that they are booking quality accommodation offering the following services and facilities:
- A separate space for drying outdoor clothing and footwear
- Boot scrapes at main doors and / or access to facilities with water supply for cleaning boots
- First aid kit
- Maps and books available for reference on walking in the area
- Weather information
