In the Shop we are committed to stocking many local products possible and for example only stock locally produced charcoal, free range local eggs, ice-cream and honey made in Purbeck.Visit the Direct From Dorset website for information about where to get more local produce. We also have a range of Fairtrade products.
On the terrace outside the shop, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, we have made a dry garden. This has herbs and we hope our visitors will be able to take pinches of thyme, rosemary and mint etc to have with the evening meal.
PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE STOPPED PROVIDING PLASTIC SHOPPING BAGS, please bring your own or use our re-cycled bags. We have a simple cotton carrier on sale.

It is possible to stay here and not use a car by walking into the village or to Swanage about 2.5 miles. You can walk to Swanage along the road or along the coastal path.
We are in the midst of the most beautiful countryside and coastal area and we try to help visitors find out about the area and provide information about the wildlife. Visit the Dorset Wildife Trust web site for interesting information before your visit. There is an excellent source of information and interest at Arne RSPB nature reserve near Wareham.
