The Kings, Christchurch

An excellent new boutique hotel in Dorset's historic town of Christchurch.

For those in the know, there's a fine new boutique hotel in this fascinating corner of the country. The Kings Hotel, located in the centre of Christchurch overlooking its Victorian bowling green and castle ruins was renovated and reopened in the summer of 2008. The hotel has a handsome Georgian facade with an elegant entrance. Once inside, the interiors are beautifully styled using a combination of classic and contemporary fabrics and furnishings. The ambience is comfortable and relaxed, the staff are willing and friendly, and it's nice to see that the place doesn't take itself too seriously. The bedrooms range from bronze to platinum which means you can choose a room to suit your purpose and budget whether you're using nearby Bournemouth Airport, exploring the Dorset coast or planning a romantic break. There are iPod docking stations and free Wi-Fi in every bedroom. Guests are also welcome to make use of The Harbour Spa at the Kings' nearby sister hotel, The Christchurch Harbour. The Kings Restaurant is known for carefully sourcing local ingredients, including wonderful produce from the New Forest and seafood from the south coast. The New Forest is famous for its many ancient sites and associations with the likes of Thomas Hardy and T E Lawrence.

The King's offer traditional Sunday Roasts, with an elaborate pudding, prices from £15.50 per person, Cream Tea’s are served all day in the new Georgian Lounge and we are open for lunch everyday £10 two courses – throughout September and October.

Our new Function suite, which opened in 2011, is ideal for community events, social meetings, private parties, weddings and celebrations.

Christmas party bookings, now being taken from £12.50 per person
