The Bankes Arms Inn is nestled in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck, in the historic village of Corfe Castle the perfect base to explore the delights of Dorset and an ideal location to escape from the day-to-day buzz of the city. For every season, there is something beautiful to do and explore.
Families, ramblers, walking groups and short stay holidaymakers should look no further, it is easy commute from London making the village of Corfe Castle an ideal retreat.
The stunning location is centrally situated between the market towns of Wareham and Swanage, making it accessible by all forms of transport.
For families there is sea crabbing at Swanage, rock pooling and surfing at Kimmeridge, kayaking and exploring the beautiful coves and geology of Lulworth, or simply let us pack you a picnic and go off exploring on one of our bicycles.
We are in Enid Blyton Country of that you can be very sure.
Emphasis is placed on food and we pride ourselves on sourcing seasonal, fresh regional produce, which we cook simply with a Mediterranean flair.
