The Bankes Arms Country Inn
InnA 15thC smugglers' country inn overlooking sea. En suite accommodation with colour TV, tea-making, log fires, 8 real ales. Also own brewery (Isle of Purbeck Brewery) offering two/three real ales brewed on the premises. Our menu consists of mainly homemade dishes and our extensive award winning seafood selection is our speciality. We serve food all day in the summer.
We have won CAMRA of the season awards and also joint CAMRA of the year awards for our real ales, and hold a 60 plus barrel real ale beer festival in August.
The Bankes Arms has large gardens overlooking the sea and is at the start of the World Heritage Jurassic coastline with beautiful cliff top walks starting from the beach. The two beaches are sandy and safe and local riding and golf are available.
