Mortons House Hotel

Ted and Beverley Clayton and Alison Woods will welcome you to their 16thC Elizabethan Manor house Hotel situated in the beautiful village of Corfe Castle in the Isle of Purbeck. The Manor is one of the earliest in Corfe and without doubt, the finest. Built in 1590 in the shape of an 'E' to honour Queen Elizabeth I, it has in more recent times been sympathetically converted into a 21 bedroom hotel. The individual character rooms all have private bathrooms, television, telephone, tea/coffee making facilities and courtesy products. Many rooms have views of the castle and others look towards the steam railway and Purbeck Hills.

The Daccombe rooms with their own terrace and seating area, are situated within the beautiful walled gardens and are accessible to all’, these rooms are equipped with walk-in showers, and have Queen size beds.

Proud of the commendations received for its traditional English cuisine (2 AA rosettes), the restaurant also boasts an excellent wine list. Rooms are available for private parties, conferences, civil weddings and receptions. Personally run by the owners, Mortons House has a dedicated team of staff that have your best interests at heart – “Our mission here is for you to enjoy this lovely hotel, the award winning restaurant and the beautiful surroundings”.

The location of the hotel provides the perfect centre from which to enjoy this area of outstanding natural beauty in this idyllic corner of England, taking in the sights of the Jurassic coastline, Swanage and its famous steam railway and the beautiful beaches at Studland.
