Swanage

Swanage

Swanage and Purbeck

Swanage and Purbeck lie on the south coast of Dorset and have stunning landscapes in all seasons.

The area is the eastern gateway to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site – walk along the South West Coast Path and pass the magnificent Old Harry Rocks, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.

Fancy a day at the beach? Enjoy the Blue Flag sandy beach at the traditional Victorian resort of Swanage or the more rugged 4 mile stretch of sand at Studland National Nature Reserve.

Heading inland, the historic town of Wareham and Corfe Castle village are definitely worth a visit. Hire a boat and row along the River Frome or pretend you’re a giant at the model village.

If nature is more your thing, Durlston Country Park is a perfect place to discover the area’s rich wildlife, as is Brownsea Island and Wareham Forest

Don’t forget to be car free and enjoy our walking and cycling routes. Go off-road on the Sika Cycle Trail or follow in famous footsteps with the Lawrence of Arabia Trail and Enid Blyton Country leaflet

Whatever you want from a short break or holiday, Swanage and Purbeck has it all!
